The World Happiness Report 2021 uses data from the Gallup World Poll and Lloyd’s Register Foundation, along with data from the ICL-YouGov Behaviour Tracker as part of the COVID Data Hub from the Institute of Global Health Innovation. It focuses on the effects of COVID-19 on the structure and quality of people’s lives, and it describes and evaluates how governments all over the world have dealt with the pandemic. In particular, it tries to explain why some countries have done so much better than others.
